DANY'S PHYSICAL THERAPY

What is Physical Therapy? Physical Therapy aids in healing everyday aches and pains or pains  associated with an injury. Physical Therapy also provides education to prevent  injuries. Physical therapists use modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, soft tissue massage, and manipulation.

What Does a Treatment Involve? Many treatments include hot packs or ice packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and soft tissue massage and manipulation. We also strongly believe in preventing injury by strengthening muscles with exercises and stretching.

What Types of Problems Do Physical Therapists Treat? Back pain, neck pain, TMJ, Tennis Elbow, shoulder rehabilitation, knee rehabilitation, Plantar Fascitis, sport related injuries.

Do you have problems with recurrent sprains of the same ankle? Many people who struggle with this believe it is simply a strength deficit, but frequently it can be caused by a lack of proprioception. Proprioception is the ability to sense where and how your joints are moving without looking at them. Those who have a tendency to sprain the same ankle often have decreased proprioception. While physical therapists do suggest ankle strengthening, the greater focus of treatment is to fine tune proprioception.
