SWIMMING AT LYNMAR
Fun in the sun ... fun in the water ... does it get any better? Do laps in the morning, or bring the kids down for a dip later in the day. We love our pool – year round – and we know you will too!

Facts to Know about H2O ... Some interesting information on the benefits of water exercise might surprise you!

  • Water temperature of 70-80º F waist to chest deep produces heart rates 10-15 beats per minute lower compared to land aerobics. 
  • HOWEVER, due to water resistance there is DECREASED muscle relaxation time following contraction.
  • Water temperature of 86-88º F RAISES the heart rate similar to land aerobics.
  • For each degree of temperature elevation, the metabolic rate of muscle cells INCREASES by approximately 13%.
  • Traveling in the water has been shown to elevate the heart rate within target zone.
  • Water exercise increases flexibility of tendons and ligaments.

Lynmar's water aerobic classes include: Warm up, Aerobic segment, Cool down, Muscular strengthening, Flexibility exercises.

Additional equipment such as water dumbbells, physiotoners and noodles are used to aid in specific training and toning. Classes are held six days a week, and include arthritis sessions. Come join us for fitness and fun!
