An exciting doubles tournament, with prize money for members!

The one and only Lynmar Calcutta shared lots of fun, competition and excitement. The three day mixed doubles tournament included five matches, which began Friday evening March 14 at 6:00 pm. All players competed in one match that evening, followed by two matches on Saturday and two more on Sunday.

Played in two divisions, Wimbledon and US Open, each having 6 teams.
A team consists of 4 mixed doubles pairs competing at A, B, C, and D levels.
Players must commit to playing all 5 matches. No Substitutions! (Emergency approval only)
Champions decided after all the matches are completed. Fifty percent of the players in each division will receive money prizes.
Payouts! First place - $100 each, Second place - $70 each, Third place - $40 each
High point winners, in each level, will receive a bottle of champagne each.

Captains	Attend drafting party on Wednesday at 6:15pm to draft teams. You will be guided through the simple process. In case of a tie, captains will play a 10 point tiebreaker to determine the winner of that place. Captains will be notified by Monday
Players	Attend all players’ party Wednesday at 7:00pm to meet partners and teammates. Beer and wine and appetizers. One check or cash (no charges) for a total of $70 should be paid at this time. $35 – prize money $35 – two parties, 5 matches, tennis balls and champagne. Sunday dinner party 5:00pm ish for all players. (or when matches completed) and awards presented. (cash bar)
Scoring	First team to reach 8 games winning by two. Three point deuce at 40-40. If tie-break is 1-1 then male serves to male or female to female. If games are 7-7, then a 12 pt tie-break is played until one team reaches 7 winning by two points.
